I am a Computer Science Professor at American River College in Sacramento, CA. I am also an avid equestrian. I use this site to practice skills and examples with my students as well as show off my horses and ponies. Sometimes it looks good and sometimes it is torn apart trying new techniques.
I teach many web software and programming applications including HTML, Adobe: Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office including Web Expressions (use to be FrontPage) along with many multimedia and video products. I have become a photographer for the needs of my web clients and Adobe Photoshop students. I take thousands of photos and always have my camera handy.
As a certified "horse crazy lady" I have several equestrian web clients to supplement my horse expenses. We have good working relationships with our horses and I help them market with web, internet and print items. I rarely take on new clients as I do work full time but I have many students that I refer to those of you wanting help with your websites.
I grew up in Sacramento, CA, riding, training, and showing horses in many different disciplines. I have trained and showed in showmanship, halter, western pleasure, stock, gymkhana, trail, english hunter/jumper, eventing, dressage, in-hand sporthorse/pony, AND marketing and breeding a stallion. I belonged to 4-h horse club growing up (when we got to stay in the dorms at County Fair), was a 4-H leader after college and on a drill team - California Mounted Womens Patrol in the late 80's when we actually had to go through Sheriff's training to become Reserve Sheriffs.
Currently, I have four horses. Two are retired at home and two are boarded at Pacific Equestrian Center in Wilton. I mainly ride dressage at this point and belong to Foothills Chapter CDS. I have given up the Olympic dream thing but have fun showing when I my family life allows.
